FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE RED CARPET PREMIERE FOR THE LAUNCH OF TINYGUIDES, "it's time to eat!"
ALL THE STARS WILL BE OUT!
Bedford, NY (September 17, 2005) - A red carpet premiere is taking place to introduce the world to tinyguides and its' flagship video "it's time to eat!" The stars of the groundbreaking video - children of all ages - will be crawling, toddling, walking and skipping down the red carpet. The premiere will be held at 5PM this Saturday, September 24th.
Created by Nicole Sachs and Marcy Sinel, two Pound Ridge and Bedford moms, tinyguides was inspired by their own childrens' natural capacity for learning from their peers. They watched in baby classes and playgroups, as their daughters seemed to be absolutely fascinated by the sight of each other, and through this fascination so much leaning was taking place.
Sachs and Sinel developed their groundbreaking approach to children's programming based on this core concept of children learning from modeling each other. The "follow me!" video series is the first product line launched by the company. Each video in the series will tackle a specific childhood milestone - from eating, to the first day of school, to the birth of a new sibling and so on. In every video, the children are the teachers - guiding the audience on a learning journey -- helping to make the challenges of childhood a little bit less intimidating.
tinyguides launches with "it's time to eat!" a DVD created to help children establish a positive attitude about eating. Eating is a milestone that begins at birth, and plays a critical role in a child's health and development. Parents are challenged with teaching children everything from how to eat, to the names of foods, to enjoying a variety of foods. In this age of childhood obesity and eating disorders, it is more important than ever that parents have tools with which to get started early in helping their children establish positive attitudes toward food. "it's time to eat!" exposes its' young audience to a variety of child-friendly foods and makes eating a playground, not a battle field. Children can enjoy broccoli as much as a cookie - it's all in the attitude!
According to Marcy Sinel, co-Founder and Managing Partner of tinyguides, recognizing the true magic behind tinyguides learning theory was easy. "The influence children have over one another is amazing. I can try to offer my daughter a new food and perhaps she'll take interest, but if her older cousin picks it up with a smile and takes a bite, she dives right in with no hesitation. A level of trust is there simply because he's a kid." |
